About Kristin Conklin
M. Kristin Conklin was born on July 24th, 1977 to Steve and Mary Bures in Oklahoma City, OK. In 4th grade, her family moved to Illinois, and in 6th grade moved to Tinley Park where she attended Victor J. Andrew High School. After graduating valedictorian, she received her undergraduate degree in economics from Northwestern University. Later, she returned to Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management for her MBA.
Kristin found great happiness in her career, especially in her most recent role as the Vice President of Strategy and Planning for TransUnion.
After meeting in high school, Kristin and Rick were married in April of 2001. For ten years, they lived in the River North area of Chicago before building a home in the southwest suburb of New Lenox. During her life, she enjoyed collecting/studying art of all types and styles, she had a strong fondness for traveling to all types of exotic/interesting/beautiful countries, she cared deepy for her two wonderful children, and provided us with countless fun memories, stories, and smiles.
Earlier this year, she was diagnosed with uveal melanoma, an agressive form of cancer. Complications arising from this disease lead to her passing on September 1st, 2016.
She is the proud mother of her son Ricky (age 8) and daughter Kara (age 5). She is also survived by her husband Rick, sister Kelley, and father Steve.
